This summer what better way to explore the stunning Carbis Bay and discover the amazing sea life that the Cornish coastline has to offer, than on our Hawaiian Canoe Tours – unique and magical this really is a special adventure that you can enjoy with family and friends.

Hawaiian canoes are magical craft, very safe and stable – they had to be, they were used to cross vast stretches of the Pacific Ocean hundreds of years ago!

In an outrigger canoe you sit in line, facing toward the front of the canoe. Our canoes can accommodate a minimum of three people or a maximum of seven, no paddling experience is needed – simply smile and cruz at your own pace. All that is required is that customers are able to swim 200m in open water (buoyancy aids are provided).

The ecological diversity of the marine inhabitants in Carbis Bay, St. Ives never ceases to amaze.

Our four and six man Hawaiian canoes provide stable viewing platforms as we take you on a magical exploration of the local coastline within the bay. The marine life normally hidden from view springs to life with stunning clarity with our specially designed underwater viewers.

Get to meet the local seal population frequently sheltering in the coves of the bay or taking a cheeky peak closer to the beach.

Watch the seasonal march of the spider crab as they head for shallow water to find a mate. Throughout the month of May and June, thousands of these amazing creatures form stacks, almost like pyramids along the beach. Look out for the squid, pipefish, sunfish and seals – just some of the sealife we have already seen this year.

Our Coastal Tour heads out further afield and out on a sea adventure, heading over to St Ives or Hayle depending on weather conditions. This is a fanatic way to get a stunning view of the Cornish coastline and St Ives harbour. This tour can be tailored to individual groups.

Hawaiian Canoe Tours run daily throughout the season* at 1030, 1330 and 1530.
