Last in our three part series for the bank holiday - how the solution to calmer more focused thoughts and enhanced sporting performance lays in breathing through your nose, once we clear the snot out that is! This is a fascinating area and one which I have personally found to have a truly big impact on my day to day life. . . . . . #fortheloveoflockdown Ocean Sports Community... See MoreSee Less
Absolutely stunning down at Carbis Bay beach today, our patrol is up and running. Sea state is perfect with a light to moderate south easterly wind. This means the wind will be pushing inflatables and light craft toward the Porthminster headland (left hand side of the beach). We definitely do not recommend rounding the point toward St’Ives as the breaze may strengthen as the day gets hotter. Low tide today is at 1330 and high tide 1750. Stay safe everyone from the Ocean Sports Centre Team. . . . . . @communitylifesavinginitiative Ocean Sports Community... See MoreSee Less
Traditionally, at this time of year we are the eyes and ears on Carbis Beach while we are operating the Ocean Sports Centre until the RNLI Beach Lifeguard services starts in peak season. However, we feel we need to step up to the plate while there is a stark absence of eyes on the water. The Ocean Sports Centre and its team of Lifeguard qualified staff will be supporting our community in safeguarding water users by running voluntary beach patrols as part of the Community Lifesaving Initiative. We will update each day on the expected weather and importantly sea state for that day and will run voluntary patrols between the hours of 11am and 4pm from Bank Holiday Monday through to Sunday May 31st. Please be safe and respect the advice our members of staff may give you throughout this week. ... See MoreSee Less
Who wouldn’t want to read about T-Rex and shopping malls this weekend!? The second in my trilogy about how lockdown can trigger archaic responses we are not even aware of and how we can not only deal with them but thrive with them. Tomorrow will be the last in the series, how an overlooked structure on our face is able to calm thoughts, focus the mind and improve athletic performance by up to 20% and, it’s quite literally under noses.
