This summer what better way to explore the stunning Carbis Bay and discover the amazing sea life that the Cornish coastline has to offer than our Hawaiian Canoe Tour – a unique adventure that you can enjoy with family and friends.

Hawaiian canoes are a beautiful craft, very safe and stable  – they had to be, they were used to cross vast stretches of the Pacific Ocean hundreds of years ago!

In an outrigger canoe you sit in a more comfortable upright position (great for those with dodgy backs) facing toward one behind the other. Our canoes can accommodate a minimum of three people or a maximum of five paddling; it is possible to take one or two tiny tots (please call to discus before booking), no paddling experience is needed – simply smile and paddle at your own pace.

COASTAL EXPLORER TOUR – UP TO TWO HOURS

The ecological diversity of the marine inhabitants in Carbis Bay never ceases to amaze. Our six man Outrigger Canoes, also known as Hawaiian canoes, provide stable viewing platforms as we explore the local coastline within the bay or extend further out toward the bustling harbour of St. Ives taking in Bamaluz beach, Porthgwidden and even Porthmeor beach (dependent upon conditions). Depending upon the time of year we get a chance to see a Scholes of Mola Mola or Sunfish to you and me – it is not uncommon to see a pod of common and Bottle nosed Dolphin buzzing the local fishing boats off the ‘Island’; Grey Seals, Pipe fish, Spider crabs and even the kings of the ocean, Blue fin and Yellow fin tuna.

The suggested age is eight years plus however, this can be flexible depending upon conditions and the adventurous nature of your child.

Our Coastal Tour heads out further afield and out on a sea adventure, heading over to St Ives or Hayle depending on weather conditions. This is a fanatic way to get a stunning view of the Cornish coastline and St Ives harbour. This tour can be tailored to individual groups.
